I found a domain name I like but it's registered by someone else. Is there anything I can do?

Domain names are registered on a first-come first-served basis. So unless you have a copyright claim to a domain name (e.g. McDonalds.com) you can’t register it. Sometimes, you may be able to purchase domains from the person who registered it but much liek real estate, they have the right to charge you any amount of money they choose.
